*** It is recommended that the factory silver paint on the engine cover be removed with a light sanding with 800 - 1000 grit sandpaper. This will give it an all-black surface for the Badgeskins and provide a cleaner look (especially along the edges where the silver could still be seen). This will also provide better adhesion. This is only a suggestion and is up to the owner. If you decide to go back to the silver look, we offer a silver Badgeskins Vinyl Overlay.
